Using Plans From 1847 To Build A Cistercian Abbey


As you can see from the attached image, this is how I model the assets and make sure they're in the correct position. 

To get the correct scale I only have a few real world measurements, but that has been enough to get this far. If there isn't a reference, I try to do the modelling based on other parts of the church building, seeing as the architecture has a lot of repeating features.

The reference images were supplied by historic england, and are proving to be incredibly useful at this stage. but as I move on with the project I shouldn't need them as much.
